Dear Members of Summit Supports Our Troops,
My Marines and I arrived here in Iraq shortly after several care packages from your organization arrived. It was a very nice welcome to my Marines as all but one were going through the initial shock of coming to Iraq for the first time. This is my second time here as well as two others of my twelve Marines for my section. It is quite an adjustment for them as most are very young. Even with all the briefs and training they receive, there is still the fear of the unkown.
Things like you sent make it much easier for them to feel comfortable, at ease, and appreciated. Your support and kind gestures do not go unnoticed as many Marines have their little flags and notes displayed in their work centers or living areas. It makes them really feel special and gives them a sense of purpose and pride. Again, I want to personally thank you all for taking time and dedicating your efforts to show us your support.
God bless each and everyone of you.Katrina Supresant, MSGT USMC
